Cork on the drift but still worth supporting

Shamrock may shock Dundalk

Gary Shaw has had a decent campaign for Shamrock Rovers

Cork City v Limerick
FAI Cup, 7.15pm Friday
Dundalk v Shamrock
FAI Cup, 4.45pm Sunday

Cork City should have too much for Limerick at a packed Turner's Cross and they can be supported at 1-2, having eased in recent days.

The betting for the first FAI Cup semi-final on Friday is quite lopsided, although that is more understandable than the prices for Sunday's last-four clash between Dundalk and 6-1 shots Shamrock Rovers.

Cork are about to win the league title, while Limerick could yet go down. Limerick surprised Cork in the league last Friday but with Conor McCormack restored to the side they were superb against Dundalk on Monday. If they repeat that sort of performance they should have far too much for Limerick, and Chidoze Ogbene is unlikely to be so influential again.

Shamrock Rovers look overpriced even without Graham Burke on Sunday. Rovers looked as if they were more interested in this match than the one they lost against St Pat's on Monday and clearly they have no fear of hosts Dundalk, who were disappointing in Cork.

Gary Shaw, who has had a decent season, is also worth a poke to open the scoring for Rovers.
