Celtic to edge Champions League rematch with Rosenborg
Bate can get better of HJK Helsinki
Second qualifying-round first legs
From 6pm Wednesday
Celtic are becoming a regular fixture in the Champions League group stage but they may find their route to the top table of European football a bit trickier to negotiate this time.
Alashkert were dispatched by an aggregate score of 6-0 in the first qualifying round and next up for Brendan Rodgers' men is a tricky assignment with Rosenborg. AEK Athens then lie in wait for whichever side should progress.
Celtic and Rosenborg met at this stage last season, when the Hoops scraped through 1-0 on aggregate. The Norwegians stood firm in Glasgow but were undone by a James Forrest goal on home soil and this season's tie could be equally tight.
Rosenborg are in the midst of their 2018-19 campaign, chasing Brann for Tippeligaen dominance, and should be in better shape than the Hoops.
That said, Celtic possess far more quality and won't want to be relying on another nervy away leg.
The Scottish champions are 2-5 to get the job done at Parkhead but that looks a tad short, as do the prices on Celtic to win to nil. There could be better value with a couple of correct-score wagers on Celtic to win 1-0 or 2-0, both available at 9-2.
Bate Borisov have become regular players in the Champions League shake-up and the big-spending Belarusians have lost just one of their last ten home matches in the European Cup – a 2-0 defeat to Barcelona.
Bate are already seven points clear in the Belarusian Premier League and should be too strong for HJK Helsinki.
The Finnish side have lost five of their last nine Champions League away trips and look set to struggle once more.
Bate are 6-10 to get the job done but the general 13-10 about them winning without conceding looks the way to go.
