Pablo Carreno Busta is the favourite in his ATP German Tennis Championships clash with Aljaz Bedene but the pair have combined for some memorable matches in the past and should put on a show for the Hamburg crowd.

Carreno Busta came out on top when the pair met at the Rome Masters in May but the Spaniard required three sets to do so and Bedene leads the head-to-head record 3-2 - all played on clay.

They have gone the distance in each of their clashes, including a five-set thriller at the 2016 French Open, and sets between the pair are normally close.

Both looked in decent form in the opening round at the Rothenbaum. Carreno Busta saw off last year's finalist Florian Mayer in three while Bedene came from behind to beat Henri Laaksonen so there's likely to be little between them again.

Punters can consider backing a three-set match at 11-8 but over 22.5 games is arguably a better option given that it would not necessarily need to go to a decider for that bet to land.

Ante-post tournament favourite Daria Kasatkina is in action in the second round of the Moscow River Cup and should have no problem seeing off Tamara Zidansek.

The home hope didn't hang around against Anna Kalinskaya on Tuesday but 1-2 about her winning in straight sets looks about right.
