Canadian women value to break US hearts again

Canada can make it five straight golds

Canada captain Marie-Philip Poulin carries the puck against USA
1 of 1

Starts 12.10pm Saturday

Barring a major upset it will be Canada and USA battling it out for gold once again.

In Sochi four years ago, the US women were heartbreakingly denied a first gold in the event since 1998 when Canada equalised in the dying seconds of the final and won in overtime.

The Americans responded to that disappointment by winning the World Championship for the last three years and arrive in Pyeongchang as favourites to end their long drought.

However, the two most recent of those world golds were won in overtime and Canada - gunning for their fifth straight Olympic gold - are worth backing purely for the fact they are rated outsiders in what should probably be a pick 'em contest.
