Broady capable of taking the match to limited seed Babos
Hungarian no certainty to dominate Stockport battler
WTA Japan Open
BT Sport 1, 3am Thursday
Timea Babos and Oceane Dodin could be vulnerable market leaders for their Coupe Banque Nationale second-round matches and punters could look to take them on in Quebec City.
Dodin captured her first WTA main-tour title in this tournament last year, but the French second seed may find opponent Caroline Dolehide a tough cookie.
The American qualifier has been turning a few heads in recent months and could make Dodin pull out the stops.
However, a slightly better bet may be taking on Babos with Naomi Broady.
The Briton possesses plenty of fighting spirit and while limited Hungarian Babos could make her presence felt in a weak field this week, she will do well to dismiss the gritty Stockport native in straight sets.
Day two of the Japan Open was hit by rain, and the tournament hopes to complete the first round and play some second-round matches on Wednesday. Elise Mertens had assumed title favouritism after ousting Evgeniya Rodina 7-6 6-1.
