Lomachenko v Rigondeaux

James DeGale and Lee Selby look solid favourites at the Copper Box in London, while double Olympic champions Vasyl Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux clash in New York.

IBF super-middleweight champion DeGale is in action for the first time since January when a brutal clash with Badou Jack ended in a draw.

Both men suffered knockdowns - Jack in the first, DeGale in the last - and DeGale lost his front teeth, but more importantly needed surgery on a shoulder injury afterwards.

It was a great fight between two world-class fighters, but DeGale's opponent Caleb Truax is isn't in that league.

He looks an ideal opponent for DeGale to shake off any rust, and as long as the shoulder is okay he should finish off Truax in the middle rounds.

Lee Selby will retain the IBF featherweight title whatever the result after opponent Eduardo Ramirez failed to make the weight. Ramirez then went missing and failed to appear for Thursday's press conference.

Selby is a huge favourite, however Ramirez is an undefeated, highly rated Mexican and he could be dangerous if his body and mind are in the right place.

The fight of the night, however, is at Madison Square Garden in New York where Vasyl Lomachenko takes on Guillermo Rigondeaux for the WBO super-featherweight crown.

Lomachenko is many people's pound-for-pound number one, but is up against another amateur legend.

Rigondeaux, a 4-1 underdog, is moving up eight pounds in weight for the fight and although he is elusive it will be tough from him to keep off Lomachenko, who promoter Bob Arum has described as "the greatest fighter since Muhammad Ali".
