Boxing results and highlights
Joshua Buatsi beat Zach Parker by majority decision
Betting odds: 2-9 Buatsi, 9-2 Parker, 16-1 draw.
Venue: Co-op Live, Manchester
Saturday night's strong domestic card from Manchester was marred by some poor decisions. Liam Cameron was fortunate to be awarded the verdict against Troy Jones, but that injustice was overshadowed by the decision of the main event.
Zach Parker was sent off a 9-2 shot for his light-heavyweight clash with Joshua Buatsi and the Derbyshire fighter looked the clear winner of the domestic duel. The 31-year-old had outboxed the Londoner and stopped Buatsi landing any real shots of note in Manchester.
Parker was trading at 2-5 at the final bell but not one judge scored the contest in his favour.
Those two decisions followed Recce Bellotti's controversial loss last month and such baffling outcomes do nothing but erode punters' confidence when betting on boxing.

Jack Catterall vs Ekow Essuman betting predictions

Jack Catterall and Ekow Essuman meet in an intriguing welterweight contest on the undercard of the rematch between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn on Saturday, November 15 and there could be a shock result.
Essuman produced an excellent display last time out to beat John Taylor, who was involved in two memorable bouts against Catterall, and that was a defeat which forced the Scot into retirement.
Essuman's relentless workrate and come-forward pressure is exactly the strategy which has caused Catterall problems in the past and it would be no surprise if the 36-year-old was able to upset El Gato at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Chris Eubank Jr profile
Age: 36
Record: 35-3, 25 wins by knockout
Weight: Middleweight
Next fight: Conor Benn, November 15, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London
Fight odds: 8-13 Eubank v 13-8 Benn, 16 draw
At the age of 36, Chris Eubank Jr appears unlikely to emulate his father and become a world champion. However, the Hove hitter has been a tremendous prize fighter and Next Gen has delivered many memorable nights.
Eubank is set of a rematch with Conor Benn on November 15, following the 36-year-old's enthralling victory over the Destroyer in April.
Next Gen has shared the ring with Billy Joe Saunders, James DeGale, George Groves, Liam Smith and Arthur Abraham, and although none of those contests have yielded a world title, Eubank has always produced a cracking show.
The Tottenham rematch looks set to bring all the razzmatazz, showmanship, excitement and intensity we associate with Eubank, and you can rely on the Hove hitter to deliver.
