Oleksandr Usyk’s biggest wins ahead of Dubois rematch at Wembley
Oleksandr Usyk is a pound-for-pound boxing great. The supremely skilled Ukrainian is one of only a handful of fighters in history to unify both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. Usyk will bid to reclaim Daniel Dubois' IBF belt and be crowned undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
The two meet in a high-stakes heavyweight rematch on Saturday, 19 July, at Wembley Stadium in London. You can follow the main event and undercard live on DAZN PPV.

Why are bookmakers so quick to throw the weight of their support behind the current champion? A look at Usyk’s biggest heavyweight victories shows why he’s earned his spot at the top of the division. He unified the cruiserweight ranks with wins over elite opponents like Mairis Briedis and Tony Bellew, before conquering the big men. Here are his three most important wins at heavyweight.
Usyk vs Tyson Fury: unifying the heavyweight division (December 2024)
The pinnacle of Usyk’s career came when he edged out Tyson Fury in a thrilling contest to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Usyk started the fight strongly, banking early rounds, before Fury rallied through the middle sessions. But the Ukrainian roared back in the later stages, rocking Fury in round nine and doing enough to secure a split decision win.
The result made Usyk the first man to unify all four major belts at heavyweight in the modern era, and the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
Usyk vs Anthony Joshua: the night the heavyweight throne shifted (September 2021)
Oleksandr Usyk has beaten Anthony Joshua twice already, and AJ’s recent loss to fellow Londoner Daniel Dubois means there’s unlikely to be a trilogy. Usyk announced his arrival in heavyweight boxing by dethroning Joshua and claiming his IBF, IBO, and WBO belts.
The challenger suffered a cut above his right eye in that thriller at a packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the UK capital but fought through to win on points. He claimed a unanimous decision by a comfortable margin and came close to stopping Joshua in the later rounds, putting his rival under intense pressure.
Usyk vs Daniel Dubois: the champion’s resolve tested (August 2023)
A year after being Joshua by split decision in a rematch, Usyk’s homecoming defence was switched to Poland due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Backed by a huge support, the champion secured a second title defence by beating big-punching challenger Dubois, but it was no easy contest.
Usyk found himself on the canvas early in the bout, but the punch from Dynamite Dubois was judged to be low. After taking time to recover, Usyk regrouped and stopped Daniel in round nine.
What’s next for Usyk? Can he do it again?
This Saturday's rematch is no formality. Dubois has improved dramatically since their first meeting, with knockout wins over Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua reigniting his career and earning him the IBF world title.
Usyk has already shown he can beat Dubois, but can he do it again against a stronger, more confident challenger in front of a UK crowd?
