Moses Itauma finally gets a chance to test himself against one of the elites in the heavyweight division as he faces Croatia's Filip Hrgovic at the 02 Arena on Saturday night.
Itauma has put together a 14-0 record since making his debut at the age of 18 in 2023. The rising star of British boxing was last seen stopping American Jermaine Franklin Jr in the fifth round this year, but Hrgovic represents a step up in class.
The Croat has just one defeat on his record and has achieved notable wins over Zhilei Zhang, Eric Molina and Joe Joyce.
The IBF world title is up for grabs after Oleksandr Usyk vacated all of his belts. Both men are bidding to become first-time world champions and Itauma is chasing history as he could become Britain's youngest champ in boxing's blue-riband division.

Moses Itauma vs Filip Hrgovic prediction
Moses Itauma has an opportunity to make boxing history on Saturday night as he can become Britain’s youngest heavyweight champion by seeing off Filip Hrgovic to claim the vacant IBF belt.
It is a chance Itauma is unlikely to allow to slip by, and he can send out yet another message to the rest of the division by recording an early finish.
Hrgovic is a huge step up for Itauma, who can count wins over Dillian Whyte and Jermaine Franklin Jr as his biggest successes so far, but he is clearly ready to move on to the next level.
Itauma is yet to be really tested, and as a well-schooled, durable and technically gifted heavyweight, Hrgovic shouldn’t be overlooked. But the talented British southpaw has all the tools to get the job done inside the distance.
It is often said that speed beats power in boxing and Itauma looks to have the advantage in both regards.
Itauma is definitely quicker than Hrgovic, and their records suggest he boasts greater power behind his shots. The southpaw blew Demsey McKean away inside the first round in 2024, whereas Hrgovic was taken to the 12th round by the Australian before he forced a stoppage when they clashed the previous year. Itauma has put together a 14-0 record with 12 stoppages and he has needed just 31 rounds in total to get to this world title shot. Only three of his fights have stretched beyond the second round.
Itauma, 21, is odds-on to win via stoppage but it is worth noting that Hrgovic is a durable fighter. The Zagreb native suffered a TKO loss to Daniel Dubois in 2024 but that stoppage was a result of doctor’s orders due to cuts, and he has only officially been knocked down once in his career.
Itauma’s speed and accuracy set him apart from his peers in the heavyweight division, however, and those qualities should allow him to create openings early on and get a win over the line inside the first six rounds.
Running at the same time as the Itauma and Hrgovic card, Chantelle Cameron takes on American star Mikaela Mayer in a super welterweight unification bout in Birmingham.
Cameron is the underdog but can pull off a minor upset in a clash of styles. Mayer is the more well-rounded and technically gifted fighter but Cameron’s high workrate and relentless pressure can help her get the decision.
