WBA super-flyweight champion Kal Yafai makes his American debut for the third defence of his title against Mexican David Carmona, and it should be a routine victory for the Brit.

Yafai is a huge favourite at odds no better than 1-25, and it's just 8-15 that he wins by KO.

It's hard to make a case for Carmona - the underdog has lost three of his last four fights. In fact, the only contest he has won since 2015 was against a fighter with just 20 victories from 35 fights.

That isn't good preparation for Yafai, who look sensational in two defences of his world title in 2017 against good opponents and is determined to make a statement in California.

A win could set up a unification clash with IBF champ Jerwin Ancajas who is also fighting on the bill - Ancajas is 1-5 to beat Jonas Sultan.

Carmona is likely to be on the wrong end of a one-sided beating, but despite five losses on his record (two by KO) he is tough.

He is the only man to go 12 rounds with Japanese monster Naoya Inoue, who demolished Jamie McDonnell inside a round on Friday.

Despite Yafai's unquestionable skills he is not a KO specialist, with 14 of his 23 wins coming inside the distance, and his last three fights have all gone the full 12 rounds.

Backing over 8.5 rounds at 11-10 looks a decent bet.
