Fight preview
Undisputed light-welterweight champion Josh Taylor makes the first defence of his four belts against British rival Jack Catterall in Glasgow on Saturday and he may find it a comfortable night's work.
Taylor was brilliant in the World Boxing Super Series light-welterweight competition and he saw off Ryan Martin, Ivan Baranchyk and Regis Prograis to secure the WBA and IBF belts in that event.
The Tartan Tornado blew away Jose Ramirez to unify the division last year and the Scot is a superb fighter.
Taylor outpointed Ramirez, but it's worth remembering that he had Jaguar down twice and he certainly carries respectable power.
The Tartan Tornado beat Prograis and Baranchyk on points, but they are top-level performers and Catterall has plenty to prove.
Yes, El Gato is unbeaten in 28 professional bouts, but he is also untested both against this level of opponent and in a fight of this magnitude.
The Lancashire southpaw has a couple of good wins over domestic rivals Ohara Davies and Tyrone McKenna on his card, but this is an major step up.
Punch-power is clearly a key weapon when looking for a stoppage, but class and skill can often lead to a knockout success.
Taylor looks a cut above Catterall and he looks likely to overwhelm his British rival and force a stoppage. At 4-6 The Tartan Tornado can be backed to defend his undisputed crown in style.
There's little betting interest on the undercard, but two-time Olympic champion Robeisy Ramirez is one to watch when he takes on Eric Donovan.
