Eubank Jr vs Benn: weigh-in reaction and odds
Eubank Jr took to the scales 50 minutes after Conor Benn on Friday morning before weighing in at 0.05lbs over the weight.
The fight will still go ahead as planned but Eubank Jr has been handed a hefty fine, reportedly £375,000, for failing to make the weight.
The 35-year-old faces another weigh-in on the morning of the fight – there is a hydration clause in the agreement which states that neither fighter can weigh-in at 10lbs heavier than the 160lb middleweight limit on Saturday morning. He will face further financial penalties if he again falls foul of the scales.
Benn, on the other hand, is the natural middleweight and, after weighing in at 156.4lbs on Friday, is not expected to face any issues when he is checked again.
The result of the weigh-in has not had a major impact on the fight odds although Paddy Power have pushed Eubank Jr out to 4-7 from 1-2.
Benn has seen support and has been clipped in from 8-5 to 7-5.

Eubank Jr vs Benn: what they are saying
In Thursday's press conference, Eubank Jr alluded to his struggle to make the weight.
"The weight is painful. I'm in pain right now, I'll be in even more pain tonight and tomorrow morning," Eubank Jr said.
"I know what's coming. I've prepared my whole life for these moments. I've put the time, I've dedicated decades to this sport and I've done it all without cheating, without cutting any corners and I'm proud of that," he added, hinting at Benn's suspension after testing positive for a banned substance in the run-up to their cancelled 2022 fight.
Benn, meanwhile, was bullish in his response to his rival's words:
"This is what I do. I love this game. This is what I live for. This is every fighter's dream when they turn professional," he said.
"I've been doing this for ten years and I'm more prepared and I'm more than ready", he added. "I'm coming here to take his head off."
