The Greenwich fighter was beaten by the Ukrainian champion in Poland two years ago, but Dynamite had the Cat on the canvas – only for the shot to be ruled a low blow.

He recovered from that defeat to score victories over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic, before destroying Anthony Joshua in a fifth-round stoppage last year.

Dubois is one of the biggest-hitting heavyweights around, but will he be able to make those advantages count?

Who is Daniel Dubois? Career beginnings and family background

Daniel Dubois began boxing at the age of seven when his father took him to the famous Peacock Gym in Canning Town, east London.

The 27-year-old won two English schoolboy titles and two junior ABAs before linking up with the GB Elite set-up in Sheffield and boxing for England.

Triple D was set to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, but the Londoner decided to make the move to the professional ranks.

Dubois' younger sister Caroline won a Youth Olympic gold medal and is the current WBC world lightweight queen.

Daniel Dubois fight record and notable opponents

Dubois made his debut in 2017 and quickly climbed the ranks. Triple D won his first eight contests by stoppage and earned a crack at the European heavyweight title against Razvan Cojanu in only his 11th professional bout.

The Greenwich fighter stopped Cojanu in two rounds and then captured the British title by beating Nathan Gorman in 2019.

The Commonwealth title followed when he dismissed Ebenezer Tetteh, but his winning run was ended by Joe Joyce in 2020.

Dubois recovered from that defeat and worked his way to a shot at Oleksandr Usyk in 2023.

Triple D came up short against the Ukrainian, but the 27-year-old will get another chance against Usyk on Saturday, July 19.

The Londoner produced the most impressive performance of his career when dismantling Anthony Joshua last time out.

Daniel Dubois recent form and road to recovery

Dubois clashed with Joshua in a huge all-British heavyweight showdown last September, and Triple D destroyed the Watford fighter.

The Greenwich man floored AJ four times before the former world heavyweight champion was counted out in round five.

That victory followed impressive wins over Filip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller after the 2023 loss to Usyk.

Daniel Dubois vs Oleksandr Usyk: a fight with four belts on the line

Usyk will bring the WBA, WBC and WBO world heavyweight titles to Wembley on Saturday, July 19, while Dubois holds the IBF strap.

All four belts will be on the line in this heavy-hitting showdown, with the winner set to be crowned undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

It’s a title Usyk has already held at both cruiserweight and heavyweight, while Dubois will be aiming to join the sport’s greats at Wembley
