Eubank Jr had just had his first birthday when his father fought Benn for the first time, while Conor Benn wasn’t born until after the first chapter of this rivalry had concluded.
The first fight between Eubank and Benn has become the stuff of legend. Both men were seriously hurt, and Eubank was knocked down in the ninth before recovering and claiming a TKO win as the round was coming to an end.
The second fight in 1993 wasn’t quite the same spectacle and ended in a draw. There were calls for a trilogy to be completed, but it wasn’t to be.
Eubank Jr and Benn were supposed to meet in October 2022, but the fight was postponed after Benn tested positive for a banned substance.
After a heated build-up, the younger pair will finally meet on April 26 at a catchweight of 160lbs. Billed as Born Rivals, this contest has a lot of hype to live up to.

Chris Eubank Jr stats and facts
Like his father, Chris Eubank Jr has spent his career campaigning at middleweight and super-middleweight after making his debut in 2011.
Eubank Jr put together an 18-0 record before suffering his first defeat, losing out on a split decision to Billy Joe Saunders in a British, Commonwealth and European title fight.
He responded to that setback with an eight-fight winning run and claimed the IBO super middleweight world title before suffering a second defeat to George Groves via unanimous decision.
After the planned 2022 fight with Benn was postponed, Eubank Jr returned to the ring against Liam Smith and was stopped for the first time of his career in the fourth round in January 2023. He avenged that loss with a 10th-round TKO later the same year and was last seen stopping Kamil Szeremeta in October.
