Chisora vs Wallin prediction
Derek Chisora will enter the ring for the final time on British soil on Saturday and Del Boy could go out with a bang against Sweden's Otto Wallin.
Chisora, 41, has previously said he intends to bring up a half-century of bouts but given the 49th professional fight of his career at Manchester's Co-op Live has been billed as The Last Dance, he is set to reach that milestone overseas.
The British veteran is a clear underdog but that was also the case against compatriot Joe Joyce in July, when Chisora defied the odds to win a bruising affair at the O2 Arena on points.
Wallin is a slicker operator than Joyce and has an awkward southpaw style, but Chisora has been in the ring with a far better opponents during his career and has the nous required to get over the line.
Chisora boasts a 35-13 record but that does him a slight disservice as nine of his 13 defeats have come against either current, former or future world champions.
In contrast, Wallin is 27-2 but has fallen short in his biggest tests, losing on points to Tyson Fury in 2019 before being stopped by Anthony Joshua four years later.
The best victories on Wallin's card are points wins over Dominic Breazeale and former cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev, so if he were to overcome Chisora it would rank as one of his best achievements.
However, nobody has ever had an easy night against Chisora, whose physical, high-pressure style makes things awkward for even the best technicians.
The man nicknamed War lived up to his moniker in an intense battle against Joyce last year and a replication of that performance should be enough to defeat Wallin, who doesn’t possess the power to stop Chisora nor the defensive skills to avoid all of the veteran’s onslaughts.
