Tomas Berdych still believes he can win a Grand Slam and following an injury absence he looks a generous price to see off Jan-Lennard Struff with the minimum of fuss in Doha.

The solid Czech has gone a long way in this tournament for the past three years – runner-up in 2015 and semi-finalist in the last two years – and with the big four out of the way, Berdych has a good opportunity to start 2018 with a bang.

The US team feel they should have won the Hopman Cup last year, and Coco Vandeweghe was a decent winner against Ana Pavlyuchenkova on Saturday.

She faces a really tough encounter again though, and Naomi Osaka, who beat her in the pair’s only meeting, looks value to cover a generous games handicap.
