Bayern may take time to see off Anderlecht
BT Sport Extra, 7.45pm Tuesday
All is not well at Bayern Munich just now with Robert Lewandowski shouting his mouth off at a lack of spending only to be shot down by CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
This is nothing new for the club nicknamed FC Hollywood – every defeat is treated as a disaster – and Saturday’s loss at Hoffenheim was no different.
However, the storm usually passes pretty quickly and Carlo Ancelotti’s men should win as cosily as the odds suggest against Anderlecht at the Allianz Arena.
Anderlecht are winless in 12 Champions League road encounters dating back to December 2005, although the Belgians are at least capable of avoiding a complete thrashing.
Bayern have not clicked in the final third this term, scoring only five times in three games which is unusual for them and a routine victory is anticipated rather than a rout with bigger tests to come in Group B.
