Bangladesh value to seal series victory over Windies
Hosts have a poor Guyana record
Bangladesh had a disastrous Test series against the West Indies but bounced back to win the first one-day international by 48 runs in Guyana on Sunday and will fancy their chances of upsetting the odds again in the second match.
The Tigers were able to count on senior players in the series opener. Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan combined for 207 runs for the second wicket while Mushfiqur Rahim scored 30 from 11 balls and Mashrafe Mortaza took four wickets.
They will need their big names to be at their best again in the day-nighter. But Bangladesh won comfortably at the same venue at the weekend and handled the conditions better than the Windies, who have now lost four of their last five ODIs in the Providence Stadium.
Much rests on Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis to provide impetus at the top of the order but neither is in top form and it could be the Tigers who take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
1pt 6-4 general
