Australian Open: Djokovic claims seventh Melbourne slam title
Tennis betting news
Novak Djokovic scorched to a straight-sets win over Rafael Nadal in the final of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
The Serbian top-seed had been a 4-5 chance to claim the title for the seventh time, and the first since 2016 and 4-1 to win in three sets.
Both outcomes were tipped by Racing Post Sport tennis expert Adrian Humphries, who also advised a winning wager on the match lasting less than 42.5 games. Djokovic triumphed 6-3 6-2 6-3.
Djokovic began the tournament as 5-4 favourite with second seed Nadal 9-1.
The Spaniard is 10-11 to gain his revenge in the French Open, which starts in May. King of Clay Nadal is the reigning Paris champion and will be going for his 12 Roland Garros crown this year.
Djokovic has won three consecutive Grand Slam finals and is a 9-4 chance to hold all four titles by winning the French Open. It's 12-1 bar the pair.
World number one Djokovic can be backed at 2-1 to successfully defend his Wimbledon title and is 13-8 to retain his Australian Open crown next January.
