AB de Villiers aiming to inspire South Africa
Proteas desperate to avoid going 4-0 down to India
Sky Cricket, 11am Saturday
South Africa's AB de Villiers missed the first three matches of the six-ODI series against India with a finger injury but the brilliant batsman is back for the fourth game at The Wanderers, one of his favourite venues.
The Proteas are desperate for some more De Villiers magic in Johannesburg, where he has scored three centuries in his last six ODIs including an unbelievable 149 off 44 balls against the West Indies in 2015.
He rejoins a team trailing 3-0 in the series, having lost skipper Faf du Plessis to injury, with a batting unit frazzled by India's spinners and a bowling attack seemingly powerless to combat the tourists' captain Virat Kohli.
Winning margins of six wickets, nine wickets and 124 runs underline India's 50-over supremacy and the peerless Kohli has scored 112, 46 not out and 160 in his three innings.
He is as short as 15-8 to top-score for India, who are 4-6 favourites to seal the series, but the 6-4 about De Villiers reaching 50 on his return is worth a small bet.
His ten ODI innings at The Wanderers have yielded three tons and three half-centuries, including an unbeaten 60 against Sri Lanka last February.
