Jockey said her instructions were that as the gelding had dwelt in its last two races, to get him settled and balanced and let him run his race. Jockey added that the gelding had developed a breathing problem and she felt it better to keep a hold of the gelding's head. Stewards found the rider and trainer had intentionally failed to ensure that their horse ran on its merits in that the gelding appeared capable of reaching a challenging position before being intentionally never asked to do so.
