Steadied start, behind, reminder after 1f, took keen hold after and held up in rear, lost touch over 2f out, never on terms (The Disciplinary Panel of the BHA enquired into the running and riding of Valmari who finished unplaced. The jockey said her orders were to drop the mare out, get it to settle as it had been keen previously, then make a move coming into the straight, but it missed the kick and then ran in snatches and had not faced the kickback, she thought that it needed further but not on the all-weather. Having heard their evidence and viewed the video recordings of the race, they found the jockey in breach of Rule (B)59.2 and the trainer in breach of Rule (C)45.4. They suspended Kerton 42 days: May 10th to June 20th. They fined Mr Prodromu £7,5000 and suspended the gelding from running in any race for 40 days from Wednesday, 5th May to Sunday, 13th June) (op 50-1)
