1 of 1

The going at York was eased to soft, good to soft in places from good to soft, soft in places on Friday morning with more rain forecast throughout the day.

A total of 4mm of rain fell throughout the night and was continuing to fall on the Knavesmire on Friday morning.

Clerk of the course William Derby said: "The good to soft parts are from the nine furlong pole to the entrance to the home straight.

"The forecast is for the rain to linger until this afternoon so it will be predominantly soft ground."

The going change made for some non-runners, including the strongly fancied Formidable Kitt, who will no longer take her chance in the Listed Langleys Solicitors British EBF Marygate Fillies' Stakes.

Princess De Lune was also withdrawn from the Listed Longines Irish Champions Weekend Fillies' Stakes, while Dakota Gold, Tahoo and Harome were all taken out of the day's penultimate contest at 5.05.
