The highly anticipated clash between Winx and emerging force Hartnell is on after both featured among a field of ten declared for Saturday's Group 1 Cox Plate.

Moonee Valley's feature contest, considered the greatest weight-for-age race in Australia, was described by Racing Victoria's executive general manager Greg Carpenter on Monday as "one of the most remarkable Cox Plates there has ever been".

The excitement was ramped up a notch on Tuesday, with Winx galloping at Moonee Valley's Breakfast With The Best event prior to the draw, which saw her placed in stall three.
