Madhmoon the value pick

The most impressive three-year-old we've seen this season has without doubt been Persian King, but I'm not convinced Andre Fabre will run him if they're thinking of stepping him up in trip afterwards, as the ground can get very quick at Newmarket and there's a long summer ahead.

The value could lie with Madhmoon (16-1). He may have disappointed on his reappearance at Leopardstown but he clearly needed the run on ground that would have been soft enough, and the form of his Group 2 success at the track in September reads well. Both his sire and dam's sire won the Guineas.
