White Mocha impresses as Palmer takes leading hopes to Chelmsford
Hugo Palmer staged a special pre-Craven meeting work morning at Chelmsford racecourse on Tuesday, where he had 22 of his most promising three-year-olds on show.
Jockeys James Doyle and Josephine Gordon were on hand to put some prime stock through their paces, including Classic entries White Mocha and Arbelet, as Palmer looked on from the commentary tower while the work took place in three stages beginning at 11am.
Apart from White Mocha, others to impress included Curiosity and Corrosive, both partnered by Doyle.
"In previous years I’ve known the Limekilns to be open on April 2 but not now, and this has been a good exercise.“
He added: “I was pleased particularly with White Mocha and Arbelet and also thought that Corrosive went well. Fajjaj and The Revenant needed the blow as they're two weeks behind.”
