The midsummer heatwave is not welcomed by connections hoping for anything other than quick ground, and the team behind last year’s Champion Stakes second Dubai Honour fall firmly into that camp.

Dubai Honour has not been in action since finishing tenth in the Sheema Classic at Meydan on his first try at 1m4f in March and missed recent engagements in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown and Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.

The Mohamed Obaida-owned four-year-old, trained by William Haggas, progressed from handicap company to the top level last season, winning at Group 2 level in the Prix Guillaume D’Ornano at Deauville and Qatar Prix Dollar at Longchamp prior to his second on Qipco British Champions Day.
