O'Brien: I Can Fly ran a stormer at Galway and I was delighted with her

I Can Fly is out to show that her wings are back in perfect working order following an encouraging effort on her most recent start at Galway.

The daughter of Fastnet Rock was sent off at 7-1 for the Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket, such was the esteem in which she was held in the early part of the season.

I Can Fly fluffed her lines there and in theInvestec Oaks at Epsom, but she produced her most promising performance when an unlucky fourth in the Listed Corrib Fillies Stakes at Galway's summer festival.

"I thought I Can Fly ran a stormer at Galway and I was delighted with her, she flew home there. That was over seven furlongs and she is up to a mile this time.

"We think she is adaptable trip-wise and either seven or a mile suits her best. She's in good form at home and this looked a nice race for her," said I Can Fly's trainer, Aidan O'Brien.

Jessica Harrington is operating at a 37 per cent strike-rate with her runners on the Flat in August – 11 winners this month – and she is showing a tasty €38.25 level stakes profit for every €1 staked.

Marshall Jennings might be giving weight away but he was runner-up in the race in 2016 and Harrington thinks any rain that falls will help his chances.

Harrington said: "Marshall Jennings seems in great form at home ad every drop of rain that arrives will help him. He was second in the race before so I thought why not have another go at it."

Fozzy Stack is double-handed with Dream Ascot and Harvestfortheworld, who ran in the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh last time.

Stack said: "Harvestfortheworld is a lovely filly who ran in a Group 1 last time. This represents a nice ease in grade for her and I expect her to go well.

"Dream Ascot is a really well-bred filly and if she could finish in the first three that would be super."

The 102-rated Petticoat represents Godolphin and Michael Halford, while the line-up is completed by Check Your Pockets and Rionach.
