Brighton's three-day summer festival kicks off on Wednesday and although temperatures may be a little milder, the sun is set to shine for the track's showpiece meeting.
The Bombardier Brighton Mile Challenge Trophy Handicap (3.10), a Class 4 event for horses rated no higher than 80, is the feature on day one with Lord Clenaghcastle and Pendo, first and second 12 months ago, back again.
Continuing the seaside theme, Yarmouth and Sligo race by the coast in the evening, along with Kempton, while Chepstow steps in for parched Bath to stage an afternoon card along with Pontefract and Brighton.
