Wicklow Brave, a Classic winner and a Grade 1 winner over hurdles, reverts to the Flat in the Rose Hotel race for amateur riders (6.30) over 1m6f at Killarney.

A ten-time winner who landed the Irish St Leger under Frankie Dettori two years ago, the Willie Mullins-trained nine-year-old is the mount of the trainer's record-breaking son Patrick, who rode him to victory in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle last year.

On his most recent start at Tipperary on July 5, Wicklow Brave finished second to Joey Salsa in the Grade 3 Grimes Hurdle and, speaking on Tuesday, his trainer said: "He was a bit disappointing at Tipperary but the conditions of the Killarney race suit him and we're hoping for better from him."

Watch Wicklow Brave win the 2017 Punchestown Champion Hurdle

Wicklow Brave, who also has a Cheltenham Festival win on his CV, faces six rivals, including the Joseph O'Brien-trained Ivanovich Gorbatov, who has failed to win since landing the 2016 Triumph Hurdle and who last ran on the Flat when scoring over 1m7f at Leopardstown almost three years ago.

Morgan hoping Stream is still in full flow

Babbling Stream provided Hugh Morgan, 21, with his first win when scoring at the Bellewstown July festival, and the combination will be attempting to follow up under top weight in the 2m6f Provimilk Calf Milk Replacer Handicap Hurdle (8.10), the richest prize on the penultimate day of the Killarney festival.

Raised 6lb for that success, the seven-year-old will be seeking a third win over hurdles, and his trainer Henry de Bromhead said: "He seems in good form and we're hoping the step up from 2m4f will suit him."

Plough Boy out to harvest a 13th success

Plough Boy, trained close to Fairyhouse by Garvan Donnelly, will be bidding for win number 13 when he faces six rivals in the 6f Toals.com Bookmakers Handicap (7.50) at his home track.

Successful over the minimum trip at Bellewstown on his most recent start, the seven-year-old was raised 6lb for that win and will have 7lb claimer Ben Coen on board.

Donnelly said: "Plough Boy is in good nick and will appreciate the fast ground. We're trying to make hay with him while the sun shines."
