'We think a lot of her' - JP McManus privately buys leading Mares' Chase fancy

Impervious, a top-priced 5-1 second favourite for the Mrs Paddy Power Mares' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, will race in new silks when next appearing after JP McManus bought the novice chaser privately.

Trainer Colm Murphy had flagged up that the Paul McKeon-owned six-year-old was for sale to stay in his yard after lowering the colours of McManus' Dinoblue in the Grade 2 O'Flynn Group Irish EBF Mares Novice Chase at Cork earlier this month.

Ireland's 19-time champion owner is now officially listed at the owner of Impervious and Murphy is plotting a route to the Cheltenham Festival where he was last successful with Empire Of Dirt in the Plate Handicap Chase in 2016.
