Connections of unbeaten star Facile Vega are brimming with excitement before a potentially huge season over hurdles for their Champion Bumper winner, who part-owner Ger O'Brien says "looks a more finished animal" than this time last year.

A flawless campaign last term for the five-year-old out of Cheltenham Festival legend Quevega culminated in back-to-back Grade 1 victories at Cheltenham and Punchestown, marking him out as one of Ireland's most complete bumper performers this century.

Such was the dazzling impression that the Willie Mullins-trained performer created, he is already priced between 6-4 and 2-1 for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle without having jumped a hurdle in public.
