Cork's meeting on Sunday was abandoned with two races left because of safety concerns about the ground.

The meeting, featuring the Hilly Way Chase won by Un De Sceaux, started on heavy ground and conditions deteriorated with further rain.

Racecourse manager Andrew Hogan said: "We had 20mm of overnight rain and it continued to rain throughout the day, which made conditions obviously very tough.

"I'm very disappointed that we have had to cancel the last two races because of a safety concern, but I am also happy that we got to run our Graded races."

While Un De Sceaux was an impressive winner of the Hilly Way, there were a number of slow-motion finishes, most notably in the 3m novice hurdle in which Fabulous Saga posted a 70-length success.
