No turf racing until Friday after Warwick card becomes latest to fall to weather
There will be no turf racing in Britain and Ireland before Friday as Leopardstown's Wednesday card and Warwick's meeting on Thursday have been cancelled.
It will be a fourth consecutive blank day of turf racing in Britain on Thursday, with the other turf card at Musselburgh cancelled on Tuesday.
Hopes rest on Fontwell for Friday, where the going is heavy, with Wetherby's card cancelled on Wednesday due to flooding in the back straight.
No inspection was planned for Wednesday's card at Leopardstown, but more rain fell overnight at the course than was expected, and an 8.30am inspection revealed parts of the track to be unraceable. That fixture has been rescheduled for Monday, April 16.
Friday's fixture at Wexford has also been lost to waterlogging. An inspection was scheduled for 2pm on Wednesday, but the decision to cancel was taken well in advance.
Fakenham will stage an additional meeting on Saturday with entries for the seven-race card closing at noon on Thursday.
