Walker hoping for quick returns with talented Stormy Antarctic
Hathal lines up for Haggas and Dettori in Saint-Cloud Group 3 test
Prix Perth (Group 3) 3yo+ | 1m Turf | ATR
Stormy Antarctic roared back to form with an easy Listed success at Chantilly a fortnight ago and Ed Walker is hoping a fast turnaround will not harm the chances of last year's Craven Stakes winner.
"He's come out of the race well and his weight is good but his best runs have generally been a little bit spaced out, so it's a little bit of a concern," said the trainer.
"But he's giving me no reason to think he needs more time and this is really the last race for him this year so we'll roll the dice. If he's in the same form I think he'll be very hard to beat."
Hathal, the mount of Frankie Dettori and representing William Haggas, has run well in all four starts this season without getting his head in front and a two-length defeat behind Taareef in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein last time is as good a level of form as is on offer here.
Enlighted took a step forward when easily winning the Listed Prix Coronation over course and distance in September and represents last year's winning trainer Freddy Head.
