'The step up in trip on a stiffer track will suit and he's well overpriced' - our expert panel give their weekend verdicts

Lizzie Kelly, the Tote's Kev Matthews and jockey Andrew Tinkler join the team

Who's your pick for the bet365 Gold Cup (4.10) at Sandown?

Lizzie Kelly, former jockey My vote is for the Willie Mullins-trained Minella Cocooner to win the race again. He ran a blinder before his stamina gave out in the Grand National and he looks the one to beat under Danny Mullins.

Kev Matthews, Tote Dancing City was moving well at Aintree before falling and looked to have a winning chance. Off 151 he’s only 3lb higher than High Class Hero, who he beat in a Grade 1 hurdle at Punchestown and who was beaten at 2-13 at Thurles last time. Jockey bookings suggest we might get a decent price and he’s the one for me.

Jonny Pearson, Racing Post Ratings This is tough with Willie Mullins having half of the field. It could be worth taking a chance on Mullins' Olympic Man, who has an engine but whose jumping has often lacked finesse. He's capable of going well if the first-time hood has the desired effect and he isn’t feeling the effects of the Scottish National.
