'The race looks made for him' - Derby-winning rider Martin Dwyer joins our panel of experts

Page Fuller, Phill Anderson, Jonny Pearson and Ladbrokes' John Priddey also give their views

Who are you with in the Derby (3.30) at Epsom?

Phill Anderson, tipster There are stamina questions over plenty, particularly with rain expected overnight, and I like the look over Lambourn (each-way) having proven himself over the trip with a strong staying performance in the Chester Vase. He also has soft-ground form from his Listed win at Craon and he has the right profile for the Derby.

Martin Dwyer, former Derby-winning jockey I think Delacroix wins. I’ve liked what I’ve seen of him scoring twice at Leopardstown this season. He’s a tough horse who you can ride any way you want and he seems to go on any ground. I think Ruling Court is the better colt but I don't think he’ll stay, especially on easy ground, so I’m going for Ryan and Aidan to do it again.

Page Fuller, RaceiQ analyst With so many runners I'm looking for each-way value, and considering this is likely to become a test of stamina, Lambourn gets my vote. He doesn’t have the speed to win, but in the Ballysax Stakes he covered the last two furlongs quicker than Delacroix, and his final furlong in the Chester Vase was the quickest he posted in the whole race. He’ll be there to pick up the pieces for the places.
