'I don't think it's a vintage Middle Park and he could be up to the task' - our top panel are on the hunt for weekend winners

Who wins the Cambridgeshire (3.40 Newmarket)?

Shelley Birkett, trainer Looking at the higher-priced runners, I like Mr Swivell. He is an improving four-year-old who doesn’t seem to have reached his ceiling yet. He handles most ground and looks to have a good attitude. I can see him being in the mix.

Martin Dixon, broadcaster Real Gain. He bolted up at this meeting in 2023 in one of the more minor handicaps on fast ground. He clearly likes the track, trip and the likely ground. He ran a big race on his belated comeback and that form has worked out nicely. I think it gives him every chance of being involved each-way.

Callum Helliwell, Sky Sports Racing Up until last season, high draws had an unbelievable record and with this year's race set to be run on good to firm ground, I'm happy to ignore last year's result and focus my attention on those drawn towards the stand side. This is why I'm drawn to Treasure Time for William Haggas and Tom Marquand. The son of Time Test has been seen only three times this season and, although he wasn't disgraced in two of those starts, he's not looked like winning. However, I thought he shaped well for a long way at Ascot in the Shergar Cup last time and he's been crying out for the straight mile he'll get here.
