'He's a big price in an open Hungerford' - Megan Nicholls and Benoit de la Sayette join our expert panel

Liam Headd, Keith Melrose and Robbie Wilders complete the jurors

Who wins the Hungerford Stakes (3.35 Newbury)?

Liam Headd, Lambourn correspondent Witness Stand looks good value to follow up his impressive win in the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. He caused a shock that day, but he’s been a very consistent performer, having finished in the first three in ten of his 16 starts, four of which were victories. He’s in career-best form, has a course-and-distance win under his belt and will relish quick ground.

Keith Melrose, betting editor It is an open race so I won't be ploughing into anything, but King's Gamble strikes me as being a big price. He was on his way to this level when his campaign ended last year and he ran well despite plenty going wrong on his return. He will be much more comfortable back at 7f.

Megan Nicholls, ITV Racing It’s an open race, but King’s Gamble ran very well on his return behind Rage Of Bamby in the Hackwood. He’s a talented performer and I think the step up to seven furlongs is a positive. He did have a long time off the track and I’m hoping he doesn’t bounce. He’s suited by the track and provided he can build on that recent outing he should run well.
