'He looks like a jockey's dream' - our expert panel analyse the weekend racing and give their Derby verdicts

Classic-winning jockey Ted Durcan is joined by Richard Hoiles, bet365's Pat Cooney, Olly Eden and Jonny Pearson

Who wins the milers' showdown in the Boylesports Lockinge?

Pat Cooney, bet365 Tamfana is the value play here. She's 5lb better off with Dancing Gemini for a length and three-quarter defeat, despite needing the run, at Sandown last time but is nearly double the price of that rival here. A fast-run mile on good ground will see her at her best and in-form jockey Rossa Ryan, on for the first time, is a bonus.

Ted Durcan, former jockey A fully fit Rosallion is very hard to oppose but there's a chance he could run fresh after his absence, so I'll look for a little value and go with a race-fit Tamfana in a race that should be run to suit. I was taken by her Sandown run as she was very much ridden with the future in mind.

Olly Eden, deputy weeklies editor It's a fascinating running but it's difficult to get away from triple Group 1 winner Rosallion, who will get the fast ground he craves. Beaten by a race-fit Notable Speech on his return last season, his subsequent gutsy victories in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and St James’s Palace were worthy of an upgrade as neither unfolded favourably. Richard Hannon reports his star to be in excellent form.
