'All eyes will be on him this weekend - if he's as good as the last two winners he'll be dangerous at Cheltenham'

Lizzie Kelly and Page Fuller join the panel to look at the upcoming action

Who wins the Towton (1.15 Ffos Las)?

Jamie Benson, Tote I’m a big fan of Handstands who impressed when winning the Grade 2 Esher at Sandown last time out. However, he appreciated every yard of the 3m trip that day, and I think he may be vulnerable back over this shorter distance. Therefore I'll select the Skeltons' progressive mare Cherie D’Am to build on her Listed win at Warwick last month and prove too sharp for her main rival.

Page Fuller, former jump jockey Handstands. Despite falling on his chase debut, his RaceiQ jump index – which scores a horse’s efficiency, speed and fluency over fences – at Sandown was 8.5 out of ten, resulting in him gaining a 15-length advantage through his jumping over the runner-up Resplendent Grey. Cherie D’Am only scored 7.5 when winning at Warwick last time, so she will need to be slicker to land a blow against her rival.

Lizzie Kelly, former jump jockey I think Cherie D’Am just has the edge for me over Handstands, although if it turns into a real slog it could well play into the hands of Ben Jones's mount with his proven stamina.
