Uttoxeter the latest course to start using padded hurdles

The introduction of padded hurdles at Uttoxeter will improve the safety of horses and riders, according to clerk of the course Charlie Moore.

Today's fixture will be the first at the venue since it undertook the £30,000 project to replace its traditional birch hurdles with the padded equivalent already deployed at Newton Abbot, Taunton and Bangor.
