Centre Court tickets for Wimbledon, dinner with the drivers of the Williams Formula 1 team and a third share of a Canford Cliffs colt are among the items up for auction at Ascot on Wednesday at a fundraiser for the Spinal Injuries Association.

Guest speaker Karen Darke MBE, who won cycling gold at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, will be joined by Steve Brown, who captained the Great Britain Paralympic rugby team at the London Olympics in 2012.

The auction will be performed by seven-time champion jump jockey John Francome.

Other lots include a year's membership at Close House Golf Club, venue for this year’s British Masters, while former BHA chairman Paul Roy, vice-president of the Spinal Injuries Association, has sponsored the conditions races for fillies on Ascot's card on behalf of the charity.

The association hopes to raise £100,000 on Wednesday and has already reached £70,000.
