Hayley Turner will miss the Leger Legends race at Doncaster next month after agreeing to return to South Africa later this year to compete in another jockeys' challenge event.

Britain's most successful female rider was due to be one of the main draws in the Clipper Logistics-sponsored race for former jockeys, but having come out of retirement to take part in last weekend's Shergar Cup she now plans to keep hold of her licence until November.

The revised list of participants for the September 7 race is now headed by Joseph O'Brien and Richard Hughes.
