Trainer negotiating move to new stable

Mick Appleby has said he is considering moving yards to further his training career. The trainer has sent out more than 350 winners from his base near Newark in Nottinghamshire since taking out a licence in 2010.

But Appleby, who was head lad for Roger Curtis and then Andrew Balding before taking up training, is now looking at a yard in Langham, just outside Oakham in Rutland.

"It is a polo yard at the moment and nothing is signed and sealed yet," he said.
