Craig Buckingham is the latest prominent owner in Britain to curtail the number of Flat horses he has in training, citing "a total lack of respect for owners from many areas of racing" as motivation.

Buckingham believes the effects of the coronavirus pandemic have masked underlying issues with British racing's attitude towards owners and says he has now lost his love for Flat ownership.

Earlier this month, leading owner-breeder John Dance announced major cuts to his Flat string having become frustrated by "a multitude of things in racing".
