Eight races – all live on At The Races – to get stuck into from Wolverhampton tonight, when Josephine Gordon could land a milestone winner. Here are the names to note . . .

5.45 Wolverhampton

John Gosden introduced 2015 Irish Derby hero Jack Hobbs at Wolverhampton, so is not afraid to send a potentially good horse to the track, and that is what Shakour could be, given his pedigree. Unraced, he cost 250,000gns as a yearling last year and is a Declaration Of War half-brother to top stayer Order Of St George, who has also made the frame in the last two Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphes.

Josephine Gordon has been on the nervous 99 mark since last week as she closes in on 100 winners for 2017. Only Hayley Turner has achieved that as a female rider on the Flat in Britain, so Gordon will be eager to match her on this juvenile, who was down the field on his debut at Newbury last month but is entitled to improve. Hugo Palmer's string are in decent nick.

9.15 Wolverhampton

Just one runner and ride for Kevin Ryan and Kevin Stott and they have to wait until the last race of the day, but it may be worth it with Lanjano. A morning market mover, he has yet to run on the all-weather and his only win came in July 2016, but stepping up to 7f – tonight's trip – at Redcar last month hinted another race may be within reach.
