Kempton is the sole evening meeting today following afternoon action on the Flat from Yarmouth, Newcastle and Gowran. The first race is at 5.40 and here are three horses to keep an eye on . . .

This son of Kodiac shaped well on his racecourse debut when beaten by a nose at Doncaster in June and returns to the track after nearly five months off.

Racing in the distinctive colours of King Power Racing, the Richard Hannon-trained runner is far less exposed than several of his rivals and should have benefited from his first run.

Taoiseach has improved with every run since he moved to Henry Candy's yard, finishing a half-length runner-up in a Windsor maiden on his latest start earlier this month.

The son of Roderic O'Connor now makes his handicap debut and is open to improvement after only four career starts.

This three-year-old filly was a course-and-distance winner in September and despite finishing a nine-length sixth on her most recent start at Newmarket, remains open to further progress.

James Fanshawe's filly got off the mark at the first attempt at Doncaster in April and has proved to be a consistent sort with two seconds and a first following her debut win. She can return to winning ways back on the all-weather.
