Tonight's racing: three horses it could pay to follow
Racing comes from Kempton, Worcester and Bellewstown on Wednesday evening and herewe identify three horses worth watching.
The nine-year-old's form took a dip during last season but his second at Uttoxeter 31 days ago suggested the Colin Tizzard-trained veteran's fortunes may have turned. That outing came over 2m4f and while he does have good form over that trip, this evening's extra three furlongs should prove more to his liking.
The Ed Dunlop-trained three-year-old was a winner over course and distance a fortnight ago in a manner that suggested a recent gelding operation has helped him turn a corner. He is up 8lb for that success but it would be no surprise to see that rise insufficient to halt his upward progress.
The unexposed Percy's Word has been off the track since finishing third of four on only his second career start at Leicester back in April. Silvestre de Sousa has an excellent strike-rate when teaming up with trainer Simon Crisford and having won on debut over ten furlongs last September, there is reason for optimism that he can stay this evening's extended trip.
