Tonight's action: three runners who catch the eye
Following all-weather action at Wolverhampton and Lingfield there are evening meetings at Dundalk and Newcastle, and these three prospects could be worth watching. . .
Playfull Spirit
5.45 Newcastle
When John Gosden takes his horses to Newcastle it is always worth taking note and Playfull Spirit looks to have a solid chance. The four-year-old has not won in seven starts but has taken a big step forward on her last two runs. She deserves a win and this could be her day.
7.00 Dundalk
This son of Camelot has a classy pedigree and has potential to improve rapidly from what he has achieved so far. He ran well behind a well-fancied favourite at this venue last time and ought to improve considerably from that run. If he can progress as expected, he may prove difficult to beat.
7.45 Newcastle
Johnny Murtagh's runners are always of interest in Britain and Ice Bullet has an interesting profile. The three-year-old has not shown much in three maidens but makes his handicap debut here. He has the pedigree to suggest he can be much better than a mark of 45 and could go close.
